With clinical judgment and a human approach

At Veterinary Clinic Canopus, we believe that trust is not built on promises, but on a consistent, honest, and reliable way of working.

Since 2014, we have practiced veterinary medicine with a very clear idea: caring for animals also means caring for the people who live with them. That is why we are committed to well-explained, rigorous medicine tailored to each case. No unnecessary rush, no pre-packaged solutions, and no automatic decisions.

Our history

Veterinary Clinic Canopus was founded in 2014 by two veterinarians with a shared goal: to work with independence, their own clinical judgment, and clinical freedom.

From the beginning, we were clear that we wanted to move away from models based on volume, forced speed, or decisions influenced by factors unrelated to medicine. We chose a professional practice where time, observation, and commitment are fundamental pillars.

Over the years, we have consolidated a stable, recognizable, and consistent way of working. A way of practicing veterinary medicine that prioritizes quality of care, clinical continuity, and long-term relationships with each family.

Our values

Values are not proclaimed, they are practiced. At Veterinary Clinic Canopus, these principles guide every clinical decision:

Genuine empathy

We understand the concern, the fatigue, and the uncertainty that come with many health problems. Listening is part of the clinical act. Without empathy, there is no good medicine.

Love and respect for animals

We care for each animal as an individual, taking into account their physical and emotional well-being. Respect is reflected in handling, in decisions, and in everyday care.

Relieving suffering and improving quality of life

Not everything is about curing. Often, it is about relieving, supporting, and improving the animal’s daily life. Knowing how far to go is also part of clinical judgment.

Explaining clearly

We firmly believe that information reduces fear. That’s why we explain what is happening, what options exist, and what each decision implies. Always using clear, understandable language adapted to each situation.

In addition, our experience in feline medicine and exotic animals allows us to adapt dermatological care to patients who require a particularly careful approach.

How we understand veterinary medicine

Veterinary medicine is not a series of isolated actions or disconnected visits. It is a process that requires observation, reflection, ongoing follow-up, and continuous adjustments.

We work from a comprehensive clinical perspective, where symptoms are interpreted within the animal’s overall context. This is especially important in complex or chronic conditions, where patience and consistency make the difference.

A demanding and committed team

We are a team that is demanding in our work, committed, and in continuous training. We review, compare, and make decisions based on clinical judgment.

Demanding does not mean rigidity. It is responsibility. We are aware that every decision has consequences, and we act accordingly, always considering the real impact on the animal and its environment.

Our areas of expertise

Although we practice veterinary medicine in a general sense, we have particularly strong experience in several clinical areas:

Veterinary dermatology

Feline medicine

Exotic animals

Internal medicine

Soft tissue surgery

These areas do not function in isolation. They complement and support each other to provide more comprehensive care.

Facilities designed to make your visit easier

Our clinic is located in Seville, in an area with easy access and parking. We know that coming to a consultation already requires an effort for many families and animals, which is why we pay special attention to this aspect.

The space is designed to promote a calm, organized, and functional environment, allowing us to work with ease and reduce stress for the animal.

Clear and accessible communication

We offer consultations in Spanish and English, making communication easier for international families living in Seville who are looking for a trusted veterinarian.

In addition, we foster a close and ongoing relationship, based on mutual trust and transparency.

What we do and what we don’t do

We work with honesty. We currently do not offer emergency services or hospitalization outside of regular working hours.

When a situation requires urgent care outside our hours, we refer patients to referral centers, ensuring clear and responsible communication. We believe that explaining our limits is also part of good professional practice.

The kind of clinic we are

Veterinary Clinic Canopus is not a clinic focused on volume or on offering the lowest price. It is a clinic designed for those who value:

Time dedicated to each case

Clear and honest explanations

Clinical judgment over quick solutions

A genuine commitment to the animal’s well-being

Our team

Behind Veterinary Clinic Canopus, there is a team of veterinarians with advanced training, real clinical experience, and a very specific way of practicing the profession. We share a common approach, high standards, and a shared vision of veterinary medicine based on knowledge and respect for each animal.

Teamwork, joint case discussions, and continuous training are part of our daily routine. We believe that good medicine does not depend on a single person, but on the combination of perspectives and specialties.
